Staymore Cup Mar 4th
The Cup is to remain in Stayner! Congratulations to all that played and volunteered to make this event happen!
On Wednesday, the Creemore Daytime curlers were hosted by the Stayner Curling Club, to compete in the annual "Staymore Cup". Unfortunately for the Creemore curlers, the Stayner teams were performing up to "Olympic" standards, and won three of the four games easily. Congratulations to the Stayner club and better luck to the Creemore curlers next year!

Our 2 person Cashspiel was a great success!
The 2026 edition of the Stayner Battle of the sticks occurred Saturday Feb 7th, sponsored by the Scholte Real Estate team. There were 16 teams from Stayner, Stroud, Barrie, Collingwood, and Huntsville/Acton each battling it out for top spot. The competition was fast and furious with many very close games on each of the 2 draws with the top results as follow:
Draw 1 - 1st - Team Cheech and Chong (Stroud)
2nd - Team Wabnitz / White ( Stayner)
3rd - Team Nadon (Barrie)
Draw #2 - 1st - Team Crossley / Bowman (Stayner)
2nd - Team Martin / Page (Collingwood)
3rd - Team Schultz / Francis (Huntsville/Acton)
The overall winner for the day was Team Crossley / Bowman by the narrowest of margins (1/4 point).
Congratulations Dan Crossley and Daryl Bowman.
A special thanks to those club members that ventured out on the wintery day to help and support the bonspiel. Kitchen: Maxine Coutts Reid, Peter Goorts, Jill West. Bar: Peter Verburg, Dave Fulger, and Ice: Theo Cook. Without this support the bonspiel would not be possible.

Connie Kinghorn, Judith Crawford, Nancy Keith and Janice Clair came out on top at the Creemore Mamma Mia Bonspiel. Lots of great curling, costumes and socializing! Well done ladies!

These club members put on a great show at the Markdale Olympic Theme Bonspiel Saturday Nov 22nd. Unfortunately they came up short against Team France but the Jamaican Bobsled Curling Team certainly know how to have fun! Skip: Judith Crawford, Vice: Cassie Clair, Second, Nancy Keith and Lead Janice Clair. Well done everyone!
