The Doug Robinson Award is presented by the Board to a club member that has demonstrated long standing volunteer excellence to the Club.
Congratulations to Maxine Coutts-Reid — Recipient of the 2026 Doug Robinson Award of Recognition
The Stayner Curling Club is proud to announce that this year's Doug Robinson Award of Recognition has been presented to Maxine in recognition of her outstanding and long-standing volunteer service to our Club.
Maxine has been a member of the Stayner Curling Club for more than 40 years, and throughout that time she has exemplified the spirit of volunteerism that makes our Club such a special place. Her dedication, generosity, and willingness to help wherever needed have benefited both our members and our community for decades.
Over the years, Maxine has served in many important roles, including:
Convenor, Board Member, Membership and Fundraising Committee Member, Community Promoter, Canada Day Parade Float Organizer, Student Curling Program Organizer, Baker, and Supporter of countless Club events, Food Preparation Volunteer for bonspiels and special events, Building Cleaning and Maintenance Volunteer, Club Security Contact and Emergency Response Volunteer.
And the list could go on. Whenever help is needed, Maxine is always among the first to step forward.

The Doug Robinson Award was not presented for the 2021 curling season as the club was closed due to COVID-19.
